battery or so.............

so i just got a 1995 vfr-750f with 8000 miles. take it home ride it and well kill it. go to start it and clicks no juice. pop start it make it home. charge battery go out riding start it about5 time park it. start it up next morning take it down the road 2 mile turn it off. go to start it click. check with multi meter altenator seems to work, voltage jumps when on throttle. so jump it and drive it back speedo kicks on and off. any help

 

sounds like a bad/intermittent ground to me. Would check the major cables from battery to pos and ground and inspect all connections for corrosion or looseness.

 

well took it in and it is the r/r but they are going through the whole bike again. I told them to orders a rick's r/r instead of the stock honda one... at least thats what i read as being good

 

How much is the Rick's R/R costing ya?

 

free the place i got is from is fixing it and lookin at the stator too
