What does your username mean?

Mine is pretty basic. I live in Denver, Colorado, USA. Denver is known as the Mile High City. I have an '02 VFR Interceptor. Just made sense to add all of the stuff together. I felt it unique and that people would know exactly where I'm from and what I ride just by looking at my handle.

Mine comes from the nickname of the bomb-lift truck used to load munitions on fighter/bomber aircraft. (looks like a lowrider forklift) While in Desert Storm, my load crew was the BEST at our AOR! (no shit, not braggin' either) We would regularly load our 3 assigned F-16s with missiles and CBUs faster than all the other crews. So, as the jammer driver of my crew, "Jammerkiller" was bestowed upon me as my official call sign. Also, the "killer" part sticks well, as I had the uncanny mechanical ability to remove the governor from the jammer's engine. Giving it a top speed of over 25-30mph! Thus, eventually destroying the hydrostatic drive system of the poor thing.

Hello, All:

Well, my bike - an '89 VFR750FK (RC24) - was not exported by Honda, Japan to the U.S. (Neither was the '88 VFR750FJ (RC24). I'm fairly certain my bike was manufactured for the German market.

Therefore, my bike is a "gray market" bike.

mine is my first name, not too many people around with the same screen name so is simple.

 

My last name is Slovinsky and i'm a police officer with the badge number 793. My nickname has been Slo for quite a while now so I just put the two together.

 

Back in the 70/80's as I was on my way to work, late as usual, I was passed by a Camaro with license plate L8agan and thought how neat. So when I signed up for Compuserve, back before Gore got this internet thing worked out, I put L8asusul together and have been using it ever since.

I've been a bike rider for many years. I'm now or will be 60 yrs young in Oct. I had a long interval before I bought another bike say, over 20 years. Well, I got a wild pubic and went and bought an 06 Katana 600 in Aug. of 06. I was 58 at the time. I joined the katriders.com forum, another great bike forum such as this one!! I came up with katat58 as my screen name and it's also my e-mail. Although I now own an 06 Interceptor (three weeks) I don't plan on changing the name cause I was reborn into the realm of motorcycles at 58 and it was on a Katana, or as some say a Kanatuna. As I said, I'll be 60 in Oct. but I'm still 18 at heart! At my age doing a 150 on a motorcycle you get the same adrenalin rush as you did as a young teenager feeling your first titty!!!! How's that for an analogy??

 

Real and Funny Chit! As my testosterone dwindle and my love for life wonders to another world, the love for a bike that is a comfortable touring bike and still has instant power a sport bike has, sets me free! I have seen many generations of the VFR think theirs is the best and who am I to contest. We have purchased our bikes for many different reasons and above all to fit us and our needs. The word HONDA has said allot for itself. My bike is the 6th gen and have not owned any others (wish I had). So far I'm very pleased with what HONDA has given me for the money I spent. Is mine beter than yours? Who cares! I would be willing to bet they all have there good and bad about them. So back to the titty, love at first sight.

username is pretty self explainitory . I haven't had a bike since I got married the second time in 94 (she didn't like them) then divorced 9 years later. got the first bike four years ago and got it running 2 years ago. now I have the 86 vfr700 I am content :biggrin:

Hey Jammerkiller,

I too was a bomb loader, a jammer driver, in Vietnam. We we're stationed in Korat Thailand and loaded F-105's (Thuds). Six 750 pounders and two AIM-9s was the usual frag load. I had a buddy that loaded B-52s, what's called the high-density version, they would load 108 500 pounders on one plane!! Took bout four and a half hours, now that's a frag load! Without 462's you just had a real expensive airline!!!

 

Hey jammerkiller - I too was a 462, just a few years back tho! Stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam fling. We loaded F-105's. I made a post in this thread for you to check out, should have made a personal reply but screwed up. Anywho, greetins fellow jammerdriver.
