R/R problem. I put a used r/r on my 86 vfr700f, started the bike and the r/r gets very hot. Too hot to touch, is this normal. Thanks
Electrical Geek reporting for duty. I've never measured the temperature of my R/R but have heard of them getting as hot as 160 degrees F. If you have any questions you should be able to follow this flowchart to determine if your charging system is working correctly. You can purchase a multimeter pretty cheaply if needed.
