Can anybody identify what kind of hard bags are on this '04VFR? They look to be factory...not sure if hard bags were available in '04...but I have never seen the triangular black panel shown before.
If anybody knows, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    George

Pretty sure those are the OEM bags. I thought the OEMs were available for all 6th gen...?

The black triangle looks like a scuff pad added by the owner.

Those definitely look like the Honda/Givi bags. The black padding could just be a stick on thing added on. Maybe Interceptor® Hard Saddlebags - Red, Fits '02-'04 models, 8L52-MCW-140

    2004 VFR hard bags

That's my bike. You looking at the picture from the Craigslist ad I bought it from about a month ago. The previous owner dropped it on the right side, scratching the bag and the front cowl just slightly. He put some self adhesive rubber on there in case he did it again. I've taken the rubber off since then. The scratches aren't noticable unless you're right on top of it.

Thanks! I'm happy to be here. Lovin' the bike. I've been bouncing back and forth between cruisers and sport bikes for several years now. I've been looking for sort of a "do it all" kind of bike, and I think maybe I've found it.

You need look no further. On my last trip I rode 350 miles to ride about 400 miles of twisties over 2 days and then rode 350 home. All on a stock bike. No complaints. And I commute on her too.

I'll have to work my way up to that kind of mileage on the VFR. I have no trouble doing that on my Wide Glide (which may be going up for sale soon), but my 46 year old knees and wrists need some time to get used to the new position. Otherwise though, this bike is 100% more fun.

    Aye look like stock bags.

As for working your way up, just relax and the bike will be 1000x more comfortable.
