    *sigh*

    It's "fanfare". 1 word, not 2.

Not that I care. Not that it matters anyway. Maybe I should pitch a crying fit and quit the board over it.

Dude. Taken on its own, the G6 VFR is an awesome bike. It's not a 10/10ths racer replica like the originals were. Honda went and re-focused the VFR line towards a more high-tech, safety minded, performance/touring crowd.

The VFR should be rebranded as an Acura. More expensive, more refined, more classy. Reliability and rideability over raw performance.

    Hello Taz,
I understand your frustration, I to have been ready to quite a few times and yes there are some real boneheads on this site that open there mouths now and then however please dont quite over this. calm down and take a breath. step back for a bit like i did a few times and take a brake. i was even ready to jump a plain to kick someones a$$ once.
there is a lot of us that enjoy having you and your thoughts around on this site, so do like i did and just buy a punching bag it will all work out.

and Mr Drewl, just go ahead and leave ! im just joking drew, im kiding with you, you know there is still a bunch that can and would love to make the trip to your casa/reno.
what we as a group really need is a site event planer. someone to plan events and if you cant make it to that event well put in for another trip but dont just cancel trips that are in the works people tend to get upset and lose there cool.

there i spoke my pace for what its worth.

Well, I'm quitting to because I don't feel the love that I think we 6-Gen owners should be getting.

Seriously, if people form opinions of other people based solely on the make or model of motorcycle they ride that is a truly foolish thing to do. At one level we are all riders. At another level we are all Honda VFR riders. Someone getting bent out of shape because others don't ride the same model bike as he does is just plain silly. Personally I could care less what bike anyone else rides, I'll ride with anybody, any time, any place. I might even show up in California one of these days!

I am not going to pedal around this topic and forum anymore. Im out of here too! Its too bad there is not more people here that want to ride with fellow bikers! I came in hopes of making new friends but got kick to the curb! So what that I have two pedals, if it bothered you that much I could have taken them off for our rides......Just goes to show the people that are prejudiced and closed minded even though they think they are not. So good bye and see you at the pump, NOT!

I stopped visiting what was an otherwise excellent VFR UK site at Bikersoracle in '06 due to a period of ignorent slanging matchs and the melt down they eventually bring then slowed down trips to VFRD due its sometimes too focused feel and sometimes heavy handed post killing. VFRWorld on the otherhand is just right so worth elaborating.

While on a personal level have disagreed in past threads with some of Taz's comments in fairness give him credit as he has regularly stated time and again his love of the VFR breed. Taz is also different to many other Gen 6 detractors I've known or read in actually owning a 6th Gen making an honest attempt with mods and time to create the motorcycle he wanted. Its just a shame he failed to be contented where many others including myself have been happy.

As its (mostly?) a free world last I looked each of us including Taz should be free to state our heart felt opinions expecting counter arguments but being a Global public Forum without judgment.

There's something to be said for grace ("...a disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy...") in our everyday lives. What's the point in leaving a community (be it a job, a relationship, or an online community of diverse people and friends) on a negative note? Doing so often burns bridges, and bridges have a way of becoming important down the road. Better to bow out gracefully, with goodwill towards all.

TAZ, who appointed you to be the arbiter ("a person or agency whose judgment or opinion is considered authoritative...") and policeman among VFR riders? How come you can no longer tolerate and respect the opinions of others, especially those who may be mostly happy with their latest generation VFR's, and who may not agree with you on all counts? In your mind, what entitles you to so arrogantly judge others just because they may not always agree with you?

When it comes to the Internet, opinions are rather like @ssholes-- everyone has 'em, myself included. This forum (along with motorcycling) is intended to be fun. Let's all lighten up a bit and enjoy the ride of life, which is a collaborative venture.

TAZ, it sounds like you are a gifted rider, but you might do well to check your ego at the door. The greatest teachers don't browbeat or otherwise terrorize or humiliate their students, because doing so tends to induce learning failure and selective "hearing loss". If you feel that what you have to say isn't being heard, maybe you would do well to take a closer look at how you teach and how you deliver your messages?

In other words, it may be that it's not so much a matter of what you have to say, as much as how you choose to say it. Just because everyone doesn't always agree with you, is this really sufficient cause for you to
take your ball and glove and stomp away from the playground?

Grow up! Knock it off! Get over this mindset in which it's your way or the highway! (And, I might add, learn to use Spell-checker, and strive to use correct grammar and English before you post. Doing so will enhance your credibility.)

I just became a member of the 6th gen crowd less than a month ago and I'm not roaring. Before buying my bike, I read many of your posts.

Before making any major purchase, I believe in reading the good things people have to say, but more importantly the bad things. It's the bad things that I pay special attention to when I look over the bike and test ride it. In my case, all the bad things I read either didn't deal with things important to me, or didn't hold up through my own investigation. The fact that I knew about them before hand made my job so much easier, and gives me great confidence that I bought the right bike for me.

    Thanks Taz

Hey Taz, If you are checking in to see replies you didn't really leave. Now you are a lurker..... Its amazing how polarizing things can get. Its probably the nature of the people on this forum. In a way Taz has a point. If we didn't seek some common ground and acceptance for our "type" we wouldn't be on these forums. We're all VFR riders(or is it VF riders for 6th gen owners Taz?) Sorry I almost forgot that "lesson". The point is we all are here to discuss things we enjoy about riding these bikes..... It doesn't matter which generation we ride. I don't think you ever got that and its a shame because you seem to be a pretty smart and good guy that brought some good points to a lot of discussions. Check in once in a while and see what happens when the new mother of all VFRs is released and it has an automatic transmission like an fjr1300a and a normal swingarm and weighs 600 lbs dry. But wait..... it will have gear driven cams so Taz will be in heaven guys. Then you can come back!! Later man, good luck!
