I can't seem to get any good reviews / specs for the K&N air filter for my bike. I am at 14000 miles, and thinking about changing the oem to K&N. Have you had any luck with changing? Or, if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

    Thanks.

I put a K&N on mine and like it. Seems to have more low-end grunt than before.

I put a K&N on mine and it seemed to lean it out too much so I added a PCM3.I already have a set of Two Bros CF slip ons. Now I can tell a performance difference to the positive.

BMC filters are made in Italy. I think they are K&N clones.

They come from Italy, and you can clean them and replenish with oil. They say that they are different from K&N, but I don't know for sure. The bike has more low-end response, but is quieter that the stock filter. Once I get a few tanks of gas, I'll post the mileage numbers...

Yep, the wife & i recently put a K&N in our "02" vfr and it has made a noticeable difference!!!! :)
our bike used to sort of surge when cruising between 4-5000rpm in 3rd or 4th, now that surging has gone, our bike is more responsive and seems to be using slightly less fuel so, so far we are more than happy.!!!!!!!!!!
