Awesome 2nd picture. That one is absolutely stunning.

    Love the Cosmo, too!

My cage is a 2005 Saab 9-2x Aero. Doesn't sound particularly interesting until you look into its lineage:

Saab is owned 100% by GM. They wanted an "entry-level" car for the brand. Brass decided that rather than build one from the ground up, they'd contract with Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI - parent company to Subaru - GM owned 20% stake in them at the time) and have them build a special edition Saab based on a Subaru Impreza/WRX platform. These cars, dubbed the "Saabaru" went to market in Early 2004 as a 2005 model. Just in time for GM's "Employee Pricing" fire sale. Most people walked off of Saab's lots with 9-2x's for less than a comparably equipped Impreza/WRX wagon. This pissed FHI off so much that they bought back all of GM's stake in the company and immediately ceased production on the 9-2x.

The 9-2x Aero is unique from the WRX with different front and rear fascias and badging. A little more sound deadening, xenon lights, and 17" wheels. Not much else. But it looks the part of a Saab, and performs like a WRX.

My car is car #20 of only 3,546 5-speed Aeros (turbocharged) produced in 2005-2006.

My "cage" is a 2005 Subaru WRX (Cobb Stage 1, Cobb sway bars, Eibach springs, OZ Ultraleggera wheels, etc...).

VT Viffer, I definitely like the Saab version too. It's like a luxury WRX!

LOL to funny was just thinking of posting up this very Question all thou mine was leaning more towards the relationship to the bike, I'm thinking here there could be a lot of similarities as we like the same bike right?

Cool shot there Slo, did that take a lot of nerve?

Nothing to special on my end.

I'll spare everyone the sight of my 1990 Toyota Corolla and share this one instead. Just drove it this past weekend in a 4th of July parade, otherwise it isn't driven much.

This is my other passion outside of motorcycles, 1969 Mustang Mach 1:

An 02 GMC Sierra for towing and driving in the snow. An 01 subaru Outback for wifey. A 94 Toyota PU for driving when not on bikes... winter time etc. A lifted 87 Suburban just to throw money in occsionally (like I can do that). None are really photo worthy. RVFR, your "beater truck" is a beauty-

I like the 69 Mach Ones as my brother had one and a good friend of mine. I did not want to embarrass my 67 as she is used for storage right now but one day...

So true. I just like practical.
the vfr is the most practical bike for me. Fun and touring, amazingly relieble.
The wagon and the vfr are more alike than not, both do there job well and excell at all parts of it.
(the taurus has the 200hp duratec, suprised some suped up civics)

I have a 2005 POS Ford F-150 Lariat. It serves no purpose other than to break & give me a ride to the waiting room of the local Ford dealer. As soon as I get back from this little all expenses paid USAF "vacation", I'm trading it in on a Chevy or GMC. I will never own a Ford again. This truck is the single biggest piece of crap vehicle I've ever owned.

My Wife has a 2006 VW GTI. I had a 1990 Dodge Daytona that I had built for autocrossing & running on the Nurburgring. Yes, THAT Nurburgring & the Daytona could lap the Nordschlief at 9 minutes. The 2006 GTI is MORE fun to drive than that 1990 Dodge. I've owned 40 vehicles in my life & the GTI is the single most satisfying car to drive I've ever owned. We like this car so much that it has 45000 miles on it in 2 years.

    KC-10 FE out...
