Okay. I tried the "search" function in several forums and it came up nil. Unless I did something wrong.......

I've got some extra LEDs that I was gonna light up the bike with. I know how I'm going to wire/control them all. But, I wanted to see anyone else's pics of their bikes with them. Also, I wanted to hear how everyone did their LED mod. I'm not trying to "rice out" my bike, just wanted a little color and light to go with the new paint job.

    Your thoughts, please......

I have LED lighting under the tail. it is blue and wired into its own circuit with a 10 amp fuse (overkill) and a switch that glows blue too. I switch them on at night to be more visible and because I think it looks bitchin. I think I have a photo of mine in my gallery. if not I will try to add one soon.

Yeah, it's a DRY heat!

I only put the hawk on that helmet 'cause it only cost me $50 online. Hawk was $17. Painted the "chrome" tips with Krylon.

Thanks to all for your input. I'll check you galleries.

I have LED's on my bike. I run them with a Honda generator on a little trailer hitched to my bike. I would show a picture but the lights blew out the sensor on my camera. Some other drivers have told me I look like "Close Encounters" on two wheels if you don't count the wheels on the trailer.

I just installed an LED license plate bracket. I've got it installed right between the exhaust cans, up high. Question is - how much heat can these LED's take before they quit?? It's mounted on an aluminum license plate bracket and is approx one quarter of an inch from each exhaust BUT, the som of bitch really gets hot!

I'm guessing that they can withstand a pretty good amount of heat. But, they are not designed to take the heat of exhaust systems. Watch out for melting of the acrylic and then shorting of the leads.

Hey Badbilly, I think you need a bigger generator.

I've ran the bike pretty hard for a couple of days now and so far the license plate bracket seems to be holding up. I've checked it after each shut down, its hot to the touch but won't burn the skin. The acrylic and lights are doing ok thus far and it has been extremely hot here the past few days. We've been at or over 100 four days in a row now and their saying tomorrow the heat index will be right at 110!! If this license plate bracket can pass thru this summer without failing I'm sure it will hold up under normal use. I put washers on the exhaust mountings pushing the exhaust approx. quarter of an inch away from the bracket, so it's not touching directly.

I got this very strange tag on the email notification:
