I am going on a long trip 3wks on the bike with some camping mixed in. My question is has any one every pulled a trailer via Goldwing with a VFR?
I've never seen one & wouldn't even know where to look. Maybe one of the gold wing trailer could be adapted? Mt Laurel huh? I wanted to live in Mt Laurel but I simply could not accept paying $9000 a year in property tax. It's bad enough paying $4200 for Browns Mills. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
Yes, it gets a little nuts. Thats what we get for living next to Moorestown and Medford. Some of the homes are 2-10mil. Crazy
couldn't imagine towing a trailer...how 'bout mailing your camping gear ahead to the region you're going to, picking it up when you get there, and then mailing it back? Fill in with a motel stop or two....or are you camping every night somewhere different? If I had so much stuff I had to pull a trailer behind my bike I think I would just take the truck.
I've pulled a trailer with a goldwing...unsure of the quoted line? that said the 6th gen VFR does not have a way to tow a trailer and says on the swing arm not to. as for camping gear, if your going solo you should be fine, i have gone for a 2 week camping trip on the bike. had 2 soft saddle bags of cloths, up top was a sleeping bag, tent and mattress straped to the passenger seat. I also added a back pack of food( a large hiking pack) strapped on top of that(it was on top so i could get food while travleing wiht out re packing. It's not enough food for 3 weeks but food is available everywhere so you can restock...i found water not worth transporting. I also packed far to many cloths in hind sight. the back pack just layed flat on top of the bag, won't win any best looking awards but having the gold wing next to you say "holy shit you pack that much?" was worth it. the garbage bag was just because it was raining. I am wishing i had a trunk as it would give me more space and something to back everything i tie onto against. that and the wife could use a back rest.(she did not com eon the trip, or there would be no room for the tent and such.)
I'll vouch for that, my dad had them instal the hitch for his bike at sturgis. also this is by far the best trailer i have towed. also odd following one, the bike leans and the trailer does not...just looks odd. Not sure about the vfr towing bit.
i am pretty sure after looking at my bike, there is no good way to attach a hitch. but good luck to you.

i'll be darned, you can attach a trailer. not sure i'm a fan of the singular wheel though, seems like it would make the bike slugish in transitioning side to side. a 2 wheel one is just drag...the bushtecks seemed feairly stable even at tght high speed corners(for a wing...dragged a highway foot pad...does that count?) but intresting....also suprised he went for a traler before a trunk bag.
Wow that thing looks nice. a little over 2k for one of those. and how does it attach to the bike? Mmm...
Who's interested in a group purchase discount? If we get enough who wants to ask for the discount? Not me just a idea. One more widget I don't need but got ta have at a price I can't possibly refuse to add to my bike.
