Was playing around with getting video footage and got a section of the Oregon side of what folks call the Rattle snake grade. It's A typical You Tube quality so it's not the best, that and there's a bug smear on thy helmet cam I didn't notice till afterwards, yet I bet you can tell whats going on.

I didn't see any rattlesnakes RV! What gives?? Just messin'! Nice footage....looks like a sweet road. I am not crazy about mounting the camera on your helmet though....I prefer something stationary on your bike. How many miles did you log?

Actually I prefer the helmet cam location, better view of what's to come, but yea the lower bike mount gives a better feel of the road, so agree with you too. ;) That was a 1300 miler.

One of my favorite rides. A buddy and I went from Portland to Clarkston and back a couple of weekends ago. Stopped for a fresh blueberry milkshake at the little place at the bottom of the valley.

Nice work Jay. I was surprised that there was not much wind noise in the mic of the helmet cam? What type of helmet cam was that?

What type of bike do you have? Sounds just like mine....i mean exactly.

    ^ think it's a VFR

The Mic was buried down in the tank bag. still interesting how it still picks up the bike done in the bag like I had, that is one of the hard parts to videoing, knowing just where to have the mic as in a many there is a lot of wind noise, thanks for the complement

It was a nice little 900 mile weekend ride. :)

It was the first long ride I'd been on in three years. I was so sore that night in Clarkston. Luckily the restaurant served a very yummy Long Island Iced Tea. After a few of those I didn't care.

I also love those curves just south of Asotin, as long as you don't get stuck behind a semi.

Rattlesnake Grade is a fine road, fun, challenging and scenic. I've only done it twice, but once each direction. Look forward to my next trip up that way, and I'll give the shakes a try.

For a similar ride, try the Hell's Canyon area, from Cambridge, Id. to the Snake river and then all the way up to Hell's Canyon Dam, on the Idaho side of river.
