now THAT's the spirit!! Paulaner is my personal favorite Hefe. Has a delightful and glorious clove aftertaste. Can't find it here in NC, which is a real shame. I have to bootleg it back to NC from MD when I go there to visit my Mom and Pops.

Man I had some bad news the other day. My local microbrewery cancelled the Monday night special. We used to go there every Mon for $5 pitcher and free appetizer special. They have about 6 in house brews and decent food. It was usually tacos or something like. Hell one time it was even swordfish tacos and a pitcher for $5. It was the best beer special I knew of anywhere. Now I'm drinking keystone light and looking for the next best thing.

Firestone Union Jack IPA is on tap at the tasting room and is very very good both floral and strong but suprisingly smooth for an IPA, but it's $6 for a 25 oz glass. Just doesn't compare to a $5 pitcher.

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Delta Airlines Stock one year ago you would have $49.00 left.

With Enron you would have $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00. With WorldCom you would have less than $5.00.

But if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then returned the cans for Aluminum Recycling refund, you would have $214.00 cash.

Based on the above, the best current investment advise is to drink heavily, and recycle. Itès called the 401Keg.:drinker::drink::party2::puke:

I prefer a diet coke or a milkshake. I don't drink beer...or liquor for that matter.

well Randy, I guess it's up to us to drink his share. We all have to do our part to keep the beer economy going. It's funny some people used to give me a hard time for drinking a foreign owned beer, but most of them are owned by overseas investors now it seems. Hell, I don't care who owns it if they make a decent product. If I like it, I'll buy it. Oh, and I am so much of a mutt, that there is probably Scottish in the mix. I have been told there is Irish and German in my bloodline and they are no slouches when it comes to beer appreciation.

I have been drinking Fat Tire alot lately. It is on tap at the local pub (the Lion and Lamb).
Maybe not the premier micro brew, but goes well with much of what I have eaten there.

LOL. I'm one of the rare Rednecks who doesn't drink, Randy. I get a lot of sh1t from my drinking buddies, and the bartenders get a bit irritated when they have to whip up a second or third milkshake. I guess the shakes are not manly enough, but that alcohol stuff's too sour for me.

My kids are Scot, Chinese mix. My son turns totally red after only half a drink. On his 19th birthday, his friend brought him to his BD bash and after he had a drink, his belly looked like the atlas. He showed everyone and all had a laugh. He doesn't drink at all. I told him that he doesn't have to drink to fit in, and he doesn't. A bit of th serious side of me does come out from time to time. But an Albertan who doesn't drink. Man, finding you is like finding the mother load of crude in your fine territory. That's like a Texan who doesn't drink Bourbon.
