I swear, people are just plain stupid.

I live in NJ & our roads sucks. I normally ride in PA where the roads are much twistyer. PA DOES NOT have mandatory helmet laws. I stopped at a local Mom & Pop ice cream stand somewhere in the vicinity of Easton, PA. I was chatting with these two cute chicks who said they like sport bikes & I let one of them sit on my VFR. A HD Ultra Glide (everything but the kitchen sink model) with open pipes comes rumbling up with near 600lbs of humanity on it. Both of these HeavyWeights were wearing shorts, tank tops, flip flops & sunglasses, that's it. One of the cute chicks said something particularly unkind to no one in particular about how most HD's are too loud & that she thinks it's pretty dumb to not wear a helmet. The Yokozuna on the HD hears this & takes it to mean that I am endorsing what this girl says. He decides to make a comment sorta like this: "Those rice rockets are POS's & most of you punks can't ride them."

Now, anyone who's read anything I've posted about HD's on this site knows that I hate HD's & the pinhead "Biker Badasses" that ride them even more. My reply, in front of about 15 people was something like this: "Let me get this straight, a 300lb fat ass with a 300lb fat ass wife, on a full dress HD is telling me I don't know how to ride? Why don't you check the load limit of your bike & then tell me who doesn't know how to ride? Why don't you go home & put on a helmet & some safety gear & then come back & tell me who doesn't know how to ride."

One of the bystanders happened to be an off duty Fireman. He came over & told Mr & Mrs Yokozuna that he would be more than happy to show them some photos of accident scenes of people who didn't wear proper gear. Both of the HeavyWeights basically told the Fireman that only stupid people crash bikes & helmets actually increase the chance of injury in a crash. The Fireman gave up, said "You can't fix stupid." & told me to ignore them.

Why are people so dumb?

What I really don't get is that a cruiser rider is HD shorts, HD flip flops, and a HD shirt is responsible and I get a label as reckless fo having full gear....
If we count cruiser riders with out proper gear i'd say 85% of motorcycalists are squids around here.
Also KC you sound a lot like my instructor who taught me. though he kept down on the hate in the class but you could tell it was there.
Also WTF is up with chapps? saving your legs so you can graft that skin onto your legs? someone needs to explain that to me...your not on a horse.

I don't have a pic, but the other day I saw a guy riding a zx14 or busa and was wearing shorts and flip-flops ONLY. I couldn't tell what the bike was because I was too busy laughing at him.

Don't those no-shirt/sleaveless shirt riders know that all that other stuff won't help you at all if you bleed to death?

Someone should go be a mole on a HD/cruiser forum and start educating those morons on this stuff.

 

It was just chit chat. My Icon TiMax jacket has extremely small pockets. They barely fit my cell phone, so no camera & therefore, no photos. Rest assured, the only reason these two girls were talking to me is because I was the lone sport "Rider" in a sea of "Bikers". Both of them said they liked sport bikes & both said they want to get their M endorsement. I am far too fat & ugly to have two 21yo chicks digging me.

Plus, I'm far too in love with half my stuff to cheat on my Wife. :biggrin:

Sorry no pix but to use a camera while riding freeway speeds is sqidsville itself.

So I am eastbound on the Trans Canada ATGATT. Hot as hell this day. A guy enters the freeway well ahead of me in Abbotsford and swings over into the fast lane about 150 yards ahead. He's got the back pack on and all as it is July 1, Canada's equivalent to July 4th. I pick up the pace to catch up. Picked it up lots to boot. Get up behind him and note his nice white sneakers. Closer I see a pair of flimsy material pants. Then almost up beside him and notice he has no shirt on at all. But that back pack will save him.

We hit some speeds and he turns off at the Cultus Lake turnoff. He must have been on his way to meet up with some giggling teenie boppers at the lake. I mean we were hitting speeds of nearing 150km a times, thats just shy of 100MPH. This is dairy country. They spread cow shit and when it is warm, :bs:there are bugs all over the place. Man that must sting.

 

but it must have been nice and brought a smile to your face to see that in a sea of "bikers" the 21yo hotties were draped over your lone VFR :stickhorse:..:strong::thumbsup:

i am still waiting to go out to my bike to find a couple of 21yo hotties draped over it or looking for a ride.....

I don't have a pic of this one, but I saw an interesting one yesterday. A guy and a girl riding double on some kind of cruiser, wearing 1/2 helmets. The girl was leaned around the guy and they were making out while riding. Haven't seen that one before.

 

Missed a photo op in Durango, CO last week... smokin' hot (IMO) blonde dressed in tank top, shorts, and flip flops "gearing up" to get on her Kawi ZX-14! By gearing up, I mean putting on her helmet. Hey, at least she was wearing a helmet!!!

 

Was in my car the other day and came upon this cool guy.. At least his Sissy bar would be protected..No sox and lofers.. This was on the freeway and he was doing at least 75mph :hangme:
