Is he referring to the Europe we have had to save from annihilation twice in the past century, and the Europe that seems to be on the same path once again? Is that the Europe he's talking about? Peace through strength. No truer words were ever spoken.:strong:

I am with you guys, this is great news.

I find it unbelievable that there are still people out there who are against the 2nd amendment. :bs: Do they watch the news or read the papers? One edition of the evening news here in Jax is all it takes for anyone with even the slightest sense of self preservation to make up their mind.

There are sheep, sheep dogs, and wolves. The wolves are happy when the sheep are easy.

Actually, DC homicides have been on a steady decrease since a spike in the mid-90's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Washington,_D.C.

    Bad news Carmine...we do!

But don't let that upset you. Things are different in the States with gun ownership. Besides, if you visit Switzerland they have full on machine guns in their homes. It's a citizen army and they have very few gun crimes.

    its a mini14 (.223). mini30 is (7.62x39mm)

very very very nice rifle! its the rancher version... comes with scope mounts.

i hunt with the rifle when i feel like it and it shoots well.

it shoots about 1" groups at 100-125yards. you can improve its accuracy in a few ways, or buy the match grade one :)

    but this a great rifle.

    Hi All,

Here in Aus we have some pretty strict handgun laws. Over here you can only own a handgun if you are an active member of a pistol club and you have it stored in a safe (bolted to the floor if its not heavy enough) and the police have the power to come to your house and check that you have it correctly secured.

Its worked pretty well at stopping the crooks from getting guns because you almost never hear of shootings but now people stab and bash each other instead.

Zero School shootings so far, but we did have a mall shooting. (Trolly Square) a few years ago, while it was a tragedy, there were only a half a dozen deaths. An off duty officer met him early and started exchanging fire with him, slowing him down until other officers arrived. The officer also prevented him from shooting anymore civilians once he engaged him.

I had no idea that DC had a gun ban. When I went to DC last year I carried concealed everywhere I went. In fact I was a bit surprised when I went to the Smithsonian. I just showed my badge and they waved me through the metal detector. I expected to need to at least show department picture ID with my license or something, but no, just waved me through. *shrug*

A gun's design is to kill something, that is their primary purpose. No more, no less.

Kennedy should be in jail btw...next to OJ.

I was always interested in one, just bought other guns instead. I know they are based on the M14 and I've been around some Springfield M1A's (target m14's) and damn they are accurate. So I am not suprised what yours can do.

I sure hope you stocked up on high cap mags and ammo! Especially the ammo! Damn it has gotten ridicules, I used to attend an annual gun shoot and ammo was always priced right. A friend of mine suggested I pick up what I need because the price was going to skyrocket...he hit the nail on the head.

The DC homicide rates should be declining. Every day there are fewer innocent and unarmed citizens for the bad guys to kill. Attrition in action.

I understand your feelings on the subject but please understand, others feel differently. We respect your right to not like guns but please do the same for us.

Acctually to get all technicall and stuff, A gun is designed to be a platform from which you launch a projectile. It is one half of the puzzle. The ammuniton is the second half of the puzzle. They were designed as a mechanism to fire a projectile further and more accurate than other weapons of the day. A gun is a weapon not a "Killing machine". A weapon is used to Kill, Wound, Mame as a means of food gathering, defense and offense.

The action the weapon performs is up to the user. Most on here and most other folks that own guns(weapons) use them for sporting and defensive pourposes.

Any weapon can be used for offense and evil.

    Rock
    Club
    Knife
    Spear
Arrow (needs Bow to be effective)
    Platic Bag
