VFRW West Coast Meetup- August 21st-26th, Reno, NV

OK, I've got the days off from work so anyone coming from SoCal or central Cal coming through the SF Bay Area and want to meet up for the ride to Susanville let me know (PM me). I've got the route planned from the Berkeley area to drewl's house. I'll be leaving on Thursday morning the 21st of August (early) to make the 4.75 hour trip so hit me up if you want company. Drewl, do you have room for one more? I can do the weekend of the Aug 23rd. However, since I'm coming off vacation from a week earlier, I can probabaly just do the weekend with a half-day Friday.

The fast route from SF is I5 --> Red Bluff, then CA-36 (5hr).

However, are these routes better:

I5 --> CA-32 (Chico) --> CA-36 (5hr)

Or

I80 --> CA-49 --> <fuzzy logic> --> US-395 (6hr)

Basically, I'm looking for a fun ride to Susanville.

 

OK. with Scubalong and Pvancle that makes 8.
All of the beds and couches are now full.
If you bring a sleeping bag and don't mind the floor, I have room for more.

(I know that's not 6, I miscounted but I will make it work.)

If you all chip in $20 each I will take care of BBQ type foods, Beer, and breakfast fixins.
Don't forget to make reservations for Reno.
