    Keeping white wheels clean

Greetings.... The white wheels on my 2nd gen VFR look great... when clean. What product do you use and your technique for cleaning them while keeping product off the chain and brake rotors?

    Ugh...sounds tedious.

I cleaned my wheels once when I first got the Bike a month or so ago. They looked brand new but the wheels themselves are pretty pitted so there is only so far I can go.

Plus it's hard to clean the spokes.

I use Meguires all wheel cleaner on my white wheels and it works pretty good. I just spray it on then rinse it off. If they're really dirty, then I'll hand wash them with the same stuff.

I use something called Purple Power. It does a great job of cleaning up the rims and taking off the excess chain lube.

I clean my wheels with HondaBrite or any other aluminium & alloy safe degreaser. As far as keeping them clean, 2 weeks ago I got a tip that I thought was complete :bs:. I figured what the heck, all it could do is not work. Use LEMON PLEDGE, that's right the furniture polish, to keep them grime free. Mind you, I've only used it for 2 weeks but it seems to work really well & is a fraction the cost of most wheel waxes. The guy who gave me this tip has a bike with white wheels.

    KC-10 FE out...
