Hey all you Sixth Gen people out there,

What do you think of the four light headlight system on our bikes? Personally I love them. They scream attitude in 46 font to look at. And even stock they provide plenty of light.

I am wondering though, how many of you get people flashing you, and I do mean the high beams not :stripper:. I get this often on my commute to work, and get many truckers flicking the back up spot at me as I approach from behind. Obviously they thing I am driving with my high beams on as most do not appear to be accustomed to four light systems on bikes.

I give them a very quick flash of the high beams to let them know I am on low already. The letter of the law here says this is illegal but the way I look at it, it is being courteous to those who think you are driving irresponsibly with your highs on. I know of no cop who would ticket someone for this if done quickly. Now to turn on your high beams and keep them on you're an :ass: and you may be inviting just that.:laser:

The 6th Gen. has the best lights I have ever experienced on a bike. Half of the year, I leave for work before sunrise. The more you can see, the safer you are. Love the set up.

Maybe your low beams are aimed too high...

I love the lights, and have found that I can't outride them at about 110mph on a straight road. They are the standard globes too, but with a wiring upgrade.

To date, the best lights I have ever had on a motorcycle. And I have had people occasionally flash their brights at me, also. Mine, if anything, are a bit too low unless my luggage is on.

Sounds like your lowbeams might be pointing too high. Here's this reference that will show you how to make sure your lights are set up properly: Motorcycle Headlight Aiming

Where are the adjustments to lower the headlights? Mine seem to shine out pretty far and I do have people flash their lights at me occasionally.

that is a good question carnage, I was wondering that too, im going to take a look at the manual later, I see under the headlights there are 2 metal what look like geared knobs. I believe they have something to do with the aiming. I dont know if they deal with horizontal or vertical tho.

Or maybe I am carrying too much lard. I will have to check this out. And check the height adjustment too.

    Thanks.

They are the best lights on a bike that I have seen in a while, they even shine better light than my two accords. I bet any money that yours need adjusting Randy. The vertical adjustment for each light is under the headlights under the front cowl, the horizontal adjustment is behind the corner meter panels.

I love the lights and they are one of the reasons I bought the bike. I did install PIAA bulbs and they are better still. But, I have not had anyone flash me (either way). Check the alignment.

    I have seen the light!

Oh man. I have HID Xenon low beams. I get flashed often (not in the good way) I am going to try and adjust them tonight. I think they are pointed too high. They are easily two or three times the brightness of the stock system.
Now I need to get silverstars for the high beams, because it looks stupid when my low beams are brighter and blue and my highs are dull and yellow...
