I went to the gas station last night and told the clerk I wanted $5.00 worth of gas.

He farted and handed me a receipt.

Up here in the great white north, premium is $1.43/liter which works out to over $5.70/US gallon. So I dont wanna hear any whining from you guys down south.

Here's the breakdown in California, Estimated Gasoline Price Breakdown & Margins Details Works out to just under 17% in taxes. Crude is almost 77%, I would guess because we import so much and those folks up north: MSNBC - The World's Largest Oil Reserves Front Page who maybe don't import as much have lower crude costs. Maybe we should stop invading countries half way around the world and look a little closer to home, eh?? :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :p

I wonder as well.. The chart was designed to deflect the high cost away from the gas stations and put the blame on the gov. May be true but who knows in this world.

we did it to our selves

i think we should use a much gas as we want. and i would love to see the price of gas climb to $15.00 or $35.00 or even $45.00 per gal of gas ..... maybe then we as a nation would wake up and kick some government and big corporate gas BUTT. we are only setting ducks because we chose to be ? it starts with one person and leads to two and three and so on. we can change things, we need to wake up fast and find other affordable ways to power our transportation. we as a nation have given the Saudi's and others a lot and they cant help us ? f--k them , shame on us for letting our selves get in this mess. our country has given away the farm ( so to speak ), we let every foreigner in this country and give them free aid while our own family's suffer and our kids get hooked on drugs and gangs, our young kids will be the leaders of tomorrow and there hands are tied all ready, they will loose ! our government is so worried about the stimulus checks ? thats
bull sh--, it is to little to late !! :bs:. we should worrie about our own here at home and stop
giving all this money away to other country's, this country is nothing like it used to be. and as
long as we set quietly we can expect this crap. wanta see things get real bad just wait for
obama or hillary to get in office just wait !!

I have a question :Dose any one have a BIG battery to make my motorhome electric so i can
    go on vacation ?

PS: and i dont care if i spelled things wrong you get the point !!

    Personally I think that's ridiculous.

First, the prognostication comes from a financial analyst who is trying to attract investor to put money into his company.

Second, there will be a point where the price is too high and people will find alternatives. That will cause the demand to drop and the price to fall. It'll never fall to the buck-a-gallon, but, just like with housing prices, it can't keep going up forever.

    UK £1.15p litre = $2.35 Litre = $10 USGal.

68% duty plus 17.5% VAT on top of that.

    Never say never.
