I'm jealous:yousuck:! I have wanted to do that ride for about 2 years now. Have fun out there, & try to be careful. We wouldn't want any VFR parts going onto that Tree(I do believe its called "the tree of shame").:frown: Take a bunch of pics and some footage if you can!
my .02 Where will you be staying, on my trip there I stayed in Andrew's Valley a twenty minute ride from the Dragon. Don't forget the Cherola Skyway... a longer ride but not nearly so tight but the elevation changes are awsome as are the views! Ride safe.
I'm curious how you have the bikes tied down. Is it just a strap around the bottom triple? I would have told you to not go on a weekend but I see you left this morning. You'll find out why you don't go on weekends when you get there. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
I just got back a week ago. Very cool this was the first time riding it. Weather was great and not too crowded. Rode from Illinois. Any local roads near there are 100 times cooler than Illinois. " Ride it dont hide it"
yes, figure8 straps around the bottom tripples (worked great) as far as this weekend had no problems sun-tues traffic was VERY light
Sounds fun, your from Ohio? Just curious, why didnt you ride down? Theres great riding to get down that way. MD
couple reasons we trailered the SV kills the G/F on highway (wind) wasnt sure how the 750 would do on "long" trip only 7 hours in the nice comfortable truck
Did you have a chance to ride the 5th Gen & 6th Gen back to back? If so, any comparison of the two you would like to offer? KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
I'll be heading to the Gap sometime in August. taking off from Ohio to ride the Gap, Blueridge Parkway and every twisty road we can fit in between, average about 1500 miles per trip...Great Ride, highly recommended for all!
