For the rest of the folks, yet another update, the chain, sprocket, speedohealer, dash cover, surround dash cover and tail light are sold.

 

Joey. Just skimmed through this. Unfortunately I will not be a buyer having a 6th gen. But curious. How many miles on that motor? Obviously is was driven like an old ladies bike for sure.

Good luck selling off as much as you can get.

 

I'm freaking kicking myself for not thinking of the Damned taillight. And mine is broken somewhat too. Grrrrrrrr

 

Motor's had about 47k hard ridden miles. Ha, yeah right, ridden like an old lady :livid: It's just a theory but I think it died so young due to the water pump failing. Obviously with no coolant flowing properly it then caused the motor to overheat and well you know how the rest of the story goes. Before I took the bike apart it could only go about 5 miles before it would overheat.

My quick apologies or the thread jack Joey. How bad is your tail light Lint?? I've got a tail light for a 5th gen. It's off a 2000 VFR but it has a few blemishes. There a couple chips in plastic on upper right side of left signal and a crack in lower right but it doesn't leak at all. PM me if you're interested.

Joey and Lint, I saw you two were communicating about the windscreen but didn't see an update that it sold. I figure Lint has dibs on it, but if it's still available and he's not going ahead, I'll commit to buying it. Same for the water pump. Let me know if you'd prefer to PM.

 

The windscreen is still up for grabs, can you send me your zip code so I can figure out shipping? As for the water pump, there's a possible deal in the works but if it falls through I'll reach out to you!
