I have a '94 VFR that is near stock (silencer removed and baffles removed from stock can). I've seen it mentioned that the stock main jet is lean so I was thinking if a #127 or #128 main would be good idea.

I've seen on here that a #130 is a bit too rich for a stock VFR and #125 is kind of lean.

What do you guys think? I can't do a trial and error run unfortunately. Hopefully some people who have tried this will chime in!

I tried looking all over and couldn't find anything to help you. I'm hoping that by replying it will move your thread back up in recent activity and someone more helpful will see it.

Not so exact, Nate. There is no practical difference between jets unless you move 2-4 jet numbers. Unless you have a dyno, you'd never notice any difference. be sure the carbs have been RECENTLY cleaned FIRST !

since #125 is stock, and you have a modded exhaust, try starting your experimentation at #130 and go up or down based upon experience or dyno curves. random guessing or postulating doesn't work; it's science !

Well modded exhaust is a bit of a stretch lol. It's a stock can with baffles removed (I'm assuming baffles removed considering how loud it is)

I don't have the time for experimentation like I said or money for dyno time.

I'll try #128 and see what happens.

After doing some more searching I found the info I wanted. I'm going to leave the stock #125s. Apparently factory mains are rich and can support a full exhaust system
