Hi everyone. Great site. Came off a carbed Harley, so this is a whole new ballgame for me. Picked up an 04 in 07 clothing for a song after I sold the Sportster. Started getting her right (Sync'd TB's and unblocked the pair ports) and now it's rich as hell with a twitchy throttle. It has a PCV and 2 bros system, so I'm gonna be doing a lot of research on here to try and get her right! Looking forward to learning about this whole "Ffuel injection and VTEC" stuff, and get into the 21st century.

    Cheers,

    Brad

Welcome to VFRW Flintlock! Great looking 6th gen you have there. Make yourself at home, pull up a chair, and feel free to tell us more about your new love affair.

Welcome to The World! Since your bike came with a PCV, getting your fueling situation resolved should be relatively easy. The best method would be to get it properly tuned by a shop that does Dyno tuning. If that proves to be a little too much of an expense, trying different maps might be another option. Many VFRDiscussion members post their maps up on the download section of the forum, you might find something worth trying over there. The other option is meddling with the PCV software and make adjustments to the settings yourself, this could be a challenge if not familiar with all of the settings and feature options.

When I had a PCV installed on my 09, I downloaded a map over at VFRD and found it to work rather well. I don’t recall off the top of my head which one it was but there are a few that members will post up their review of the maps, so read what they have to say. A feature of the PCV that is rather cool, is the ability to load two maps and by using a contact closure on a pair of the input pins, you can go from map A to map B without having to break out a laptop. Very useful if you want to try a map for a period of time and/or do A-B map comparisons.

Good luck and congratulations on your new to you ride.

Thanks for the input and welcome. I've heard good things about AF1 racing here in Austin, so I think I'm gonna hand it off to them, and get her to wake up. I disco'd the PCV for now, and she leaned back out. We shall see what the tune does when that happens.
